Spring

March 15, 2017 by Collins Branche

Today’s rain

will never dampen my memory

of yesterday’s sun

Nor will my present darkness

abolish my hope within

For I am washed in a light

from beyond the clouds

and I walk with an inward awareness

that there is for me a Spring that will awaken

after this Winter’s rest.
