Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
Taken from The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 11 verse 21
The ramifications of this teaching are truly mind boggling. God’s awareness of your life extends beyond the implications of what is currently happening within it…God even knows what would have happened had you lived in another place and another time. In short, God even knows what would have happened if. That being so, your life with all of its unexplained occurrences is fully within the parameters of that which was deemed necessary to bring the best out of you.
God is well aware of how your life would have been had you been born in another place and another time, under a different set of circumstances and within another community. God however elected to place you exactly where he did because it is within your current circumstances that your best and highest self can emerge.
Celebrate your journey for it was eternally crafted so that your spirit might shine. You are not a victim of unfair circumstances nor have your been blessed without a purpose. Rather it is within the tapestry of your collective life experiences that you now are to see in it a woven pattern of opportunities for growth and development. That is not to say that every experience to date has been enjoyable and in all probability, many of your life experiences to date have been painful. That is so, because many lessons of spiritual evolving can only be gleaned from these unpleasant places.
Perhaps the most challenging lesson of spiritual development is the lesson of giving. Growth in spiritual terms often occurs not through what you attain but rather what you are able to share. In the realm of the spirit, you will only truly own that which you are in the process of giving away. Since every path is revelatory, it is the path of hardship inflicted by others that has valuable life lessons to teach. Here, learn the art of extending forgiveness to them, not so much to bless them but rather to give you the gift of inner peace. Hatred is a coal that when held destroys but when released heals. As you journey on to uncover your highest self, extend now forgiveness in the manner that your spirit leads you to do so to those who have intentionally wronged you.
