Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
Taken from the second letter to the Corinthians Chapter 5 verse 17
In order for a hot air balloon to rise it must first release itself from its moorings in order to set sail. Your faith system is beginning to rise and now your challenge is to like that balloon, release the known for the unknown, the comfortable for the uncomfortable. It is our tendency to feel that the known, no matter how dysfunctional it may be is the way that things are and always will be. You may even feel that the world around you is just like the small portion of the world that you have experienced up to this point in your life. The problem with that form of thinking is that the way you perceive the world around you actually defines for you what you receive from the world around you.
The time has now come to cut the moorings to the way that your life has been defined for you as your spirit begins to truly set sail. Be courageous enough to be defined by the process of the spiritual awakening that has begun in your life. This transition will be uncomfortable but so also is any birth process. The process of rebirth is also an act of redefining everything within you from the context of the fresh steps of spiritual development that you have taken and that process though painful is also meaningful. The challenge now of spiritual development is having the faith to believe that your unknown spirit lead future is better than your known but discordant past.
Perhaps religion at one time was something that could be placed in a convenient box to be opened at 11 am on Sunday Morning and then promptly closed at 1 pm on Sunday afternoon. Begin to view spirituality in a different context. Faith now involves intimately two things:
First it involves not a single act of faith but rather a lifestyle wherein every act of every day is governed by the very faith that you now posses. Secondly, faith states that which is ahead is far greater than the life you have known even though the life you now live requires considerable effort.
As you so soar, rejoice knowing that all things now are becoming new as you stand each day amid your new creation.
